A group of 37 colleagues from across Begbies TraynorGroup are taking on one of the toughest UK hiking challenges - the National Three Peaks challenge.

Training is well underway with colleagues tackling various mountains and fells to get hill-walking in the legs. This challenge involves walking the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours and is not one for the faint-hearted.

This is the first time the Group has launched a national charity challenge with colleagues coming together from all parts of the UK and from various business lines.

The challenge, which takes place on 27-28 April, starts in Scotland at Ben Nevis which at 1,344 metres (4,409ft) is the highest of the three. From there the expedition will drive south into the Lake District where they climb Scafell Pike (978 m, 3,209 ft). The final of the three is the Welsh mountain, Snowdon, standing at no less than 1,085 m, 3,560 ft.

Our 37 colleagues taking on the challenge have all contributed to the cost of the event and are embarking on tough training plans, determined to raise as much as they can.

The Group are really trying to raise as much money as we can for three specific charities and your donations (and social shares - see LinkedIn) would be hugely appreciated:

Cancer Research UK: BTG National Three Peaks Challenge 2024 (

MS Society: Begbies Traynor Group Newcastle is fundraising for Multiple Sclerosis Society (

Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice: Dave Mathieson, Jo Hammond and Rob Dymond from our Sheffield office are raising money for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice (
