Hamilton Building Products Company Closes

Date Published: 07/02/2012

On Monday 30 January, Scott McGregor and Ken Pattullo of Begbies Traynor were appointed as provisional liquidators of CDW Ltd based in Hamilton.

Located on Hillhouse Industrial Estate, the £7.5m turnover company is one of the UK’s leading roofing, cladding and curtain walling contractors. Offering design consultancy and project liaison, CDW Ltd has been involved in major builds including the Burns Monument in Kilmarnock and The Point, Glasgow.

The company ceased trading on 27 January and the 11 staff at its Hamilton headquarters have been made redundant.

“We are currently investigating the reasons for the demise of CDW Ltd, but it appears to have been another victim of the economic downturn which has hit the building and construction particularly hard,” explained provisional liquidator Ken Pattullo.
